A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a certain e-mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise put, if you disable an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled address under the exact same domain name, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you run some business, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk email messages, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filtering software in order to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Hosting
If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a few features, but it is very simple to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes only a single click. All the email addresses that you have created will be shown in this section alphabetically and you’ll only need to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the particular address. Our system will inform you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes yet another mouse click on the same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
You will be able to set up a catch-all email address with no more than a click in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with us and your emails are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the email addresses that you create with any domain name hosted in the account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate this feature will be to click that icon. In the very same fashion you will be able to turn off the feature, in case you do not need it anymore. Our system will warn you if you are trying to enable a second catch-all email address for a specific domain name or in case there is activated email forwarding, but it will never modify or deactivate anything automatically or without your permission.
